The hall now fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) has a new extension housing new toilets including a disabled person’s accessible toilet, and one set of the old toilets has been refurbished especially for children. |

There was an extension added many years ago for a kitchen and a small meeting room. The old kitchen has now been replaced by a new one with new appliances and crockery and meets with current H&H standards. |

The main hall now has a new heating system, substantial insulation and double glazed windows, new floor and lighting and the whole building has been re-plastered and re-decorated. |

Users at present are a Monday evening Keep Fit Group, Police Rural Community Meetings, Green Ways to Safety Meetings, various parties, Parish Council Meetings, Soup Kitchens, DAB, Police Surgeries, Amber Valley Borough Council Community Information, Amber Valley Horse Watch and many new groups have made enquiries. |
| The Parish Council are pleased to invite user groups, parishioners and businesses to make use of this facility and are themselves hoping to stage some events there to bring the generations of the village together. The newly furbished hall also supports an office that is occupied by the Police to allow parishioners the opportunity to meet with local officers to get help, advice or discuss any issues with them.
